I have so far been unable to trace any

information about the establishment of the Labour

Committe

Advisory Board, but its constitution and method

of operation are snown in the Sessional Paper 16

of 1926, which forms the report of the Labour Advisory Committee on certain disputes as to wages.

There was a recent strike in Colombo

which was ultimately settled by the decision of anı

arbitrator, one of the Judges of the Supreme Court

appointed by the Government. ine Governor
